The WI Hospital Emergency Preparedness Program is sponsoring a free opportunity to become trained and certified in ABLS. Training consists of an online course, ABLS Now, and certification will be available at three locations around the state this spring.  Recommended training program participants are:

  • Advanced-level EMTs (only for those services that do not have Paramedics)
  • Registered Nurses so that at least one ABLS trained nurse is available per shift
  • Emergency Department Physicians
  • General Surgeons
  • Any healthcare professional within the hospital involved in the treatment of burn patients
  • Licensed Paramedics

Registration is coordinated through your regional WHEPP coordinators.  ABLS Now registration information is in the attached file ABLS Now Online Course Registration.  After you have passed the online course with 80% correct answers, you can  register for the in person certification session (attached ABLS Simulation Courses file).
