  • Online Training
Dementia is a worldwide epidemic affecting millions around the globe.  In Wisconsin, the number of citizens living with dementia is expected to rise about 30% in the next decade.  Understanding the disease - and how it impacts the person living with the disease and their families and communities - is the first step in making Wisconsin a dementia-capable state.
As part of the Wisconsin Dementia Care Project, the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, Center for Career Development and Employability Training (CCDET) in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Long Term Care is developing a series of online trainings. The first of these trainings, Crisis Response, is geared toward crisis responders such as law enforcement agencies, judiciary/court officials, fire/EMS personnel, etc.

Attached is a flyer with more information. If you have additional questions, please email: dementiacare@uwosh.edu
