I’m pleased to announce that the

Wisconsin Office of Rural Health will host a two day grant workshop, Grants Without Grief, July 29 & 30 at the

Holiday Inn Convention Center in Stevens Point.  This event has been designed with content for both those new to grants and grant proposal writing and for those with more grant experience.  You may register for either day alone, or both days.  The presenter will be Jeremy Miner, director of grants and contracts in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire and president of Miner and Associates, Inc., a nationwide consulting firm specializing in grant work.

On day 1, July 29, Jeremy will address grant seeking and the basics of proposal writing, including matching your needs with funder’s priorities and describing the elements of a grant proposal.  Day 2, July 30, will include information on analyzing grant guidelines and an overview of the grant review process.  Both days will include hands on work.

Registration is $40 for one day, $80 for both days and will include breakfast and lunch.  We have also reserved a room block at the Holiday Inn with a special reduced rate.  The registration deadline for the workshop is July 22 and the hotel will hold the room block until June 28.

There is more information including the agenda and links to registration on our website: http://www.worh.org/events .  You will have three registration options: July 29, July 30 or July 29 & 30.  There is also information on reserving a room at the Holiday Inn.  Let me know if you have any questions.
