Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals

The Office of Rural Health is sponsoring a free opportunity to become certified in PEPP, Pediatric Education for Pre-hospital Professionals, on either August 15 or 19 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.  PEPP is designed to enhance and increase knowledge and skill in delivering pediatric care in the pre-hospital environment.  The goals of this course are:

 

  • To provide an overview of child development
  • To enhance the participant's performance in the assessment and treatment of the pediatric patient
  • To advance the participant's level of competence in regard to specific pre-hospital pediatric skills

 

Prior to attending the in-person session participants will complete an on-line course, expected to take 4.75 hours.  The in-person session will include skills stations and an exam.  More information on the course and the registration form is on our website.  The course is open to EMRs, EMTs and Paramedics.  Registration is limited; submit your registration by July 31.
