Nicolas Bergum, Critical Care Paramedic

Nick joined Midwest Medical in early 2021 as a Critical Care Paramedic. A natural leader due to his 20+ year tenure in EMS allowed him to excel with Midwest Medical. Nick quickly became a Field Training Officer (FTO) and recently has taken on additional responsibility to include managing his stations shift scheduling and inventory.

Midwest recently received the following feedback from UW Med Flight’s Medical Director, “We had a very complicated ground transport this AM of an incredibly ill polytrauma patient from Beloit. Nick Bergum was fantastically helpful, knowledgeable, and skilled at the bedside/stretcher as well as with the rig. He played a critical role in our ability to get the patient alive to UW.”

Outside of work, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife & five children. Together, they raise & show many animals on their hobby farm. Other Bergum family activities include Hunting, Fishing, Volunteering at their church & making maple syrup!
