Gretchen Lawton began her career in EMS at Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service of Wisconsin, Inc., in 2004 as EMS dispatch. Gretchen quickly excelled in Dispatch and decide to switch career goals from animation to EMS.
Gretchen moved through her EMS career journey as a call taker, ground dispatcher, flight dispatcher which included working the Chicago Marathon and work at Wisconsin’s State Traffic Operations Center. Gretchen provides exceptional leadership to Dispatchers, Customer Service Representatives, and On-site Coordinators: all working together as a solid team. She leads by example and exhibits exceptional work ethic and empathy for our patients and crews.
Gretchen is a certified Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) through the
International Academy of Emergency Dispatch. She led the efforts to
establish two new Dispatch Centers in Wisconsin which was the first Wisconsin
Centers for Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service of Wisconsin, Inc.
She still finds opportunities for her creative expression through crafting and
drawing. In her personal time, Gretchen enjoys spending time with family
and friends which includes her husband Jose and two children Maggie and
Jay. Her furry friends include two dogs, Gryphon (Shih Tzu) and Ruby (Lab
Pei). Gretchen is a grandmother of Sophia and will be celebrating the
birth of another grandchild this year!
