Jason Cotherman, Paramedic, Gold Cross Ambulance

Jason Cotherman has been an employee with Gold Cross Ambulance for the last 17 years.

He has served in many different roles at the organization including instructor, FTO, liaison, and student preceptor. His dedication to the organization is unwavering. He continues to be a selfless caregiver each and every day.

On June 9, 2023 he was dispatched to a residential structure fire with potential patients. Upon arrival, he quickly surveyed the scene and heard audible screaming from the interior of the home. With the fire department not yet on scene Jason made the decision to perform a life-saving extrication of the patient risking his life to bring the patient to safety.

These heroic acts as well as a lifelong commitment to this profession are why Jason is being nominated as a 2023 Star of Life recipient.
