Mark is being recognized for being an amazing EMT, a knowledgeable mentor, and a great CEVO Instructor.
Mark has made EMS his life and it radiates in his care for patients and his interaction with his coworkers. Mark received his EMT on May 1, 1988, and joined the Caledonia, MN Ambulance Service, where he is currently the co-director. After 33 years, Mark retired as a jail administrator in 2021, and began working fulltime as an EMT with Gundersen Health System Ambulance.
Mark and his wife Karen continue to live in Caledonia and have 2 great sons, Isaac (Lauren) and Devin (Katie) and a 6-year-old grandson, Holden. They are a very close family and enjoy spending time together, especially on the river in their family-owned pontoon.
