Michael Soehner, Station manager, superior air-ground ambulance

Mike started in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) in 2007 as a second career in addition to being a volunteer with the Milton Township Fire Department. In 2010, Mike helped the city by obtaining all his Fire certifications. In 2015, an opportunity came along in the city of East Troy for a full-time position with the Fire Department, and he took it. In 2018, Mike took on the role of Service director for East Troy, serving in that capacity until 2020.

In 2020, he decided to take a position with Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service of Wisconsin out of the Janesville Station. Mike quickly displayed his leadership skills, earning the position of Station Manager for Superior’s Madison location in 2021. Mike has since taken on the Janesville and Elkhorn Stations along with running our Field Training Officer Program. The wealth of knowledge Mike brings to Superior Ambulance is invaluable and we are lucky to have him.

Mike states that EMS has been a rewarding career for him in every aspect. He is grateful to everyone who has helped him along the way. He is especially grateful to his wife who continues to put up with the late-night calls.
