Eric Vaughan, Station Manager, Superior Air-Ground Ambulance

Eric has served in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for 18 years. Eric started his career with the Town of Pelican Fire Department in 2004 where he became a firefighter. The next year he obtained his Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification at Nicolet Area Technical College. From 2005 to 2013, Eric was an integral part of the EMS community where he lived. He volunteered to help with EMS at the Hodag Country Festival every year.

In 2008, Eric took on the medical duties at Camp Birchrock, a youth camp in Oneida County. In 2010, Eric became a Lieutenant on The Pelican Fire Department, where he was elected service director among his peers. Eric moved to Fox Valley to pursue his associate degree in Fire Protection and went on to gain his Paramedic certification. During school, Eric was hired on to the fire department for the Town on Grand Chute where he obtained the position of Engineer. After obtaining his Paramedic certification Eric was hired at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Neenah as an Emergency Department Technician. With his background Eric was asked to assist with the Emergency Management committee for the ThedaCare system.

In 2021 Eric Joined Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service of Wisconsin, where he was given the task of leading three northern Stations in Green Bay, Kaukauna, and Oshkosh. While at Superior, Eric easily became a leading “go to” person for anyone seeking help, advice, or guidance. He has helped during leadership transitions and with training new staff transitioning to a leadership role.

Eric is always willing to do what is needed and go wherever asked to get the job done. Eric has 5 wonderful kids (Hailee, Zander, Olivia, Joanna, and Grayson) with his wife Nicole, His time away from work is spent surrounded by family and friends.
