Prior to EMS, Brian worked in multiple careers from factory to driving. In 2013 Brian applied to the local ambulance service after reading an article in the paper that they were looking for volunteers, which put him on the path to his EMS career.

Since then, he obtained his AEMT certification in 2022 and recently his paramedic in 2024 through Gundersen's paramedic trainee program. Brian works full-time as a paramedic with Gundersen Health System Ambulance as well as the acting Service Director Fennimore Area Rescue Squad.

Brian has worked hard with the medical Director to implement flex staffing to provide a higher level of care for the residents of Fennimore. For Brian, EMS is a family business; his wife Jenifer is an EMR and their son Nic is a paramedic. Their unwavering commitment to patient care and the EMS profession exemplifies the spirit of service.
