Mary Johnson has been a well known and positive fixture at Bell Ambulance for the past 24 years. Throughout the majority of her time at Bell, she has worked as a patient care provider (EMT/AEMT) and provided exceptional patient care to thousands of patients. Mary has a passion for attending outreach events, sharing the profession she loves with the community. It was when Mary began working with the Bell Ambulance Cadets as an adjunct instructor, that it was clear her positive attitude, patience, and experience was just right for educating and providing the support to the cadets who were aspiring to become EMTs through Bell’s robust and rapidly grown cadet program.
She was promoted to Cadet and Outreach Supervisor in 2022, quickly acclimating to her new role, taking on every challenge that was thrown at her to facilitate the very best experience and promote huge success with the cadets. She continues to coordinate community outreach responsibilities, bringing one of the most positive and encouraging personalities likely ever to be seen in the EMS industry. Their unwavering commitment to patient care and the EMS profession exemplifies the spirit of service.
Congratulations from the Professional Ambulance Association of Wisconsin on receiving the 2024 WI Star of Life Award!
