Mariah has been an EMT since 2022 with Gold Cross Ambulance and despite her relatively short tenure she has exemplified what it means to a dedicated and compassionate professional in this career. Mariah has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her patients, partners, and community. Mariah has the ability bring calm into any situation and despite her relatively short time in the profession she has shown the composure of an experience clinician.

Mariah was able to display this skillset on two separate situations within the last year. Mariah and her partner responded to a call for a patient in active labor. Upon arrival they were able to swiftly identify that the patient was in imminent delivery and were able to successfully deliver the baby in the field. In a second instance, Mariah responded to a patient experiencing suicidal ideation on a bridge. Mariah was able to collaborate with law enforcement and convince the individual to seek help with no injury sustained. Mariah has a bright future in this career and she has shown potential consistently during the last two years of service to the community.
