EMT Field Training Officer Varys is nominated for her enthusiastic resolve to improving herself and those around her. Currently, she is located at Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service of Wisconsin - Kenosha Station. Carol Varys started her EMS career as an EMT Student at Superior's Vernon Hills location in Illinois. Since becoming an EMT, Carol has continued to give back to EMS education as preceptor and field training officer. During this time, Carol has developed into a trusted mentor for new employees and EMT students. She is known for her infectious smile, positivity, and resolve to make the best of herself, her teammates, and the given situation.

Outside of Superior, Carol tutors school children in mathematics. She is continuing her own education by beginning paramedic school in fall of 2024. Carol Varys' positive influence goes above and beyond the call of duty and are keeping with traditions of EMS profession.
